Life at the Hatch-hold

We have been a busy group here at the Hatch-hold. We are planning out some landscaping for our yard. After much thought and questioning to the Mayo Family. We've decided to put in some Cedars to outline the perimeter of our yard. Such a simple job, you would think. but it's taken up our lives lately. We luckily have had lots of willing help. We had friends over to help us find the pins for our property line tonight. What an adventure! Thank goodness for metal detectors! So we'll be driving out to Chiliwack next weekend to pick up the Cedars that the Mayo's have so graciously donated to our yard. We're excited to get in a visit with some family too, I can't believe we've been here almost 4 months and still haven't made it out to Chiliwack.
We spent our weekend pruning our trees all around the lot. Our cherry and plum trees were done earlier in the season but we hadn't gotten to our others. The fruit trees are growing like mad and we have no idea how we will even get rid of all the fruit. The flower bed is in full bloom with some tulips that are now gone, lilies, rose bushes and another one I think called Lucia, it smells really pretty. We are enjoying having some beautiful flowers to come home to.
Last weekend we had a fun time taking in Kelownas "May Days". There was a parade and little exhibition to go to. Jayda had a great time. After our hot day at the parade we made our way to the waterpark. Jayda was a little hesitant at first but a hot day is pretty welcoming for some cold water fun at the waterpark. She ran around the park and even went down the mini waterslide a few times. I'm sure we'll be frequenting the waterpark this summer.
Jason, as usual, spends all his time working away on CASB. He goes to Edmonton the weekend of Father's Day to take a UFE prep course(for his big test). Poor guy just doesn't get a break!
Jayda is go, go, go, as always. She's taken a real liking with shoes lately. She's constantly trying on shoes and can even get them on the right foot now. Jayda loves to watch her "Dora" in the morning and sings and dances along to the songs. She's become a big girl walking down the stairs by herself when holding onto the railing. She understands "sorry" now and will hug and kiss you if she's hurt you or your feelings, or made a mess, it's so cute!
As for me, I've taken up an evening class of Ju-Jitsu(self defense) with a friend. I'm still busy taking my classes at the YMCA on my lunch breaks. Most of my day is spent taking care of Jayda or at work. I'm excited to have my husband back soon to spend some time with and help! Only 5 more weeks until the end of Mod 5, woo hoo!

Hello Everyone!
What have we been up to lately????
Well...Jason is working furiously on Module 5 for CASB. So the LONG hours continue! Jason has also been playing Volleyball every Thursday in a Co-ed league here in town. Last week, Jayda and I, went since he had an early game. He's getting back into it and so excited to be able to play Volleyball year round. Jayda enjoyed running around while she watched her daddy play, yelling "daddy, daddy", "ball, ball", it was really cute!
Jayda has been enjoying her time outdoors at daycare. They spend lots of time on the playground and in the sand box. Jayda loves to try to climb the ladder to the slide on her own. This much to the dismay of the daycare lady. She's constantly chasing her down trying to help her up before she helps herself up. This week she took a tumble and got a fat lip, poor baby?! Jayda is also learning not to pick flowers. She's tried to pick a couple of ours and the daycares but she's learning "no" and there have been no casaulties yet, thankfully. This also meaning now she can tell everyone "no". She loves to answer "no" to everything! Fun, fun, fun!
As for me, I've just been busy trying to progress at my job and take care of Jayda. I had a great Mother's Day with Jason spoiling me!! He took me shopping while he babysat Jayda and cooked for me all weekend. It was a great time!
Our family wishes all you Mother's out there a belated "Happy Mother's Day"! Congratulations to The Kuehn family on the purchase of their new home.

A weekend with mom and a boy for the Mayo's!

We just had a FABULOUS weekend with Mommy dearest. We had a great time shopping and touring around. She was a delight to have, useful as always, helping to get the house organized and baking like a mad woman! We loved it and it was SO good to see some family. It's getting kind of lonely out here. Thankfully tax season is ALMOST over!! Woo hoo! Jason has been working so hard! He just joined a competition Volleyball league that will run pretty well year round. So he's very excited about that. Plus, waterski season is just around the corner. We all went to another boat show this weekend to get the summer mood started. We've been doing lots of walks around the area. Becky Bates got to join this week on her visit. It was great to see her again too!! Kelowna is in Beck's district for work so we get the pleasure of seeing her every couple of months to catch up! Good to see ya girl!
Jayda had a bit of a rough weekend. She got an ear infection in the midst of cutting molars and then reacted to the antibiotics. So we're at home today getting some rest after a few sleepless nights. Daycare has been good for exposure to disease! Geez, the life of a working family, fun, fun!
We'd like to send out big HUGS AND KISSES to the Mayo family who just had a baby boy!! Larsen Ronald Weston Mayo, weighing in at 5lbs 4oz's(I think)?! What a cute little man! You guys did good! Congrats and we LOVE and MISS you!!!

"HOPPY EASTER"

We are hoping everyone had a delightful Easter. We had a fun Easter morning doing an Easter Egg hunt with Jayda. She then thought she needed to eat all the chocolate. Much to her dismay she was limited but I don't think the child has seen that much chocolate ever! So fun!! Jayda has been learning lots of new words including her new friend Elmo's name. She's still very shy when it comes to the phone though. She likes to listen to people but doesn't ever really say much. It's weird because during the day she is such a little jabberbox. She loves to sing, talk to herself, dance around and CLIMB!!
The weather has been fantastic lately. We got a little bit of rain today but it's been quite warm. Even with the rain today it was still 17C. So we are happy that summer seems to be on it's way! All the golf courses are open and the ski hill just closed this past weeekend. Jason is chomping at the bit to get waterskiing! Our ritual Sunday walk by the lake teases him every time.
We are still really enjoying our place. Our neighborhood is quite small and we went around and met all the families. Seems like a good group. Their are only 10-12 houses in our area, the rest is Orchard so we are pretty isolated. It sounds like everyone gets together for neighborhood BBQ's etc, so it should be a fun time.
We'll be starting to do some work to the yard once Jason is done tax season. So far just lots of unpacking, organizing, sorting. All that fun stuff!

MOVED IN!!

We got moved into our place and are LOVING it! Work is going well, busy, busy but learning lots. Jason is hard at work until late at night and working weekends. Jadya is growing so quickly! She's been learning so much at daycare, it's been good for her. She is now drinking all her milk in a sippy cup during the day and bottles only at night, we're so proud! Such a big girl! She loves to run in and out of the house looking out the balcony. She seems to really be enjoying the house and we love that all the doors close so she can run FREE like the true CRAZY she is!! We put together Jayda's tricycle this week, she loved it! Can't quick reach the peddles but climbs all over it like a jungle gym and makes daddy push her around the house. We're going to take it down to the lake for a walk this weekend. We're excited! So life is busy but we're looking forward to seeing everyone this summer when we're back in the Hat for Chris's wedding. Yes, Chris is getting married...CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS AND PATRICIA!! So it's looking like we may be back in July, we'll keep you posted.

Getting ready to move, hoo-ray! Looks like the move might take a few trips since the trailer is much smaller than we had anticipated. OoPS...says Jason! Going up and down the mountains with the trailer should be FUN times!! Got to live for some adventure, right?!

Jayda's been quite sick this week with a respiratory virus. Poor baby, it's so sad to see her crying everytime she coughs! Jason has had to take work off all week since she's too sick for daycare. So I go to work all morning while Jason takes care of Jayda, we have supper as a family and then Jason is back to work until about midnight. He's been so GREAT working SO hard! We're crossing our fingers daycare will take Jayda back on Monday, we really need to start working normal hours again so Jason can get in some OT. Gotta love tax season!

It's SPRING....almost!

Things here in Kelowna are going well. Jayda started a new daycare this week. She is now being watched by a Scottish woman who watches three other children Jayda's age. She has become very vocal this week and seems to really enjoy the interaction with the other kids.
Work is going well for both Jason and Andrea. We are getting excited to take possession of the duplex mid March and get out of this place.
We had a visit from the raccoons this week, they got the dogs all rialed up! I don't think they'll be back with Coal & Cass's scary barks.
Jayda is now saying "Thank you" and "Love you", she's getting so smart!
Well, we love and miss you all. Today was a beautiful summers day, we're happy to be into a nice spring!
